I've attend Maximum Impact Simulcast. It's like a leadership seminar that is run simultaneously (hence the name Simulcast = Simultaneously broadcasted) all over the world in participating churches, all at the same time.. Speakers involves a hugee variety of influential and powerful leaders of the world, not to miss the great motivational speakers such as John C.Maxwell, Tony Blair, Ernie Johnson, Kevin Carroll, Jack Nicklaus, Linda Kaplan Thaler, Al Weiss, Mark Sanborn, Bill George.. and my most favourite speaker of the day, Liz Murray!!

overall ,it was awesome , many principles, motivations and thoughts that they put forth was very very .... ah, let me summarize the points to you!

From Linda Kaplan Thaler:
if something is too complex, simplify your brain and break the problem to small pieces.
Never underestimate the power of small talk (not gossip!!) and the power of interpersonal skills.

From John C.Maxwell:
When you own your dream, you became from the believer to a buyer of your dream. If you own your dream, you're gonna do things that other people think its impossible!
Disappointment = gap between reality and dream.
Do i have firm faundation to my dream? i can make a choice.

From Kevin Carroll:
Stepping out from your comfort zone in courage, sacrifice and discipline.
Check your "want to". talk about it , then "be" it...!!
What's your position, purpose and desire?
When you see problems/ difficulties, you should learn to see them as possibilities.
Brain storm- extending the play, compromise, no "but" .. use "and"
Feel empowered as leaders and say - I believe in your leadership, but i need you to be present in all situations, especially in challenging time. yea, i will get people to come along with you. i trust that you're capable of doing it.

From Tony Blair:
Balance between listening and leading.
Being prepared to make a decision and stand up to the responsibility and consequences.
Being prepared to changes. Many people do not like changes.
You have to motivate your team.
Dependability (accountability, trust, reliability) is a huge element.
Leaders have a belief that they can make a different!!
What is forgivable is to fail, what is unforgivable is not to try.

From Al Weiss:
Many people want to learn about leadership, but little want to live a life of a leader.
Heart of a servant leader--- I care about you. serve them and show them. guide them to grow to fullest potential in their role. empower them to higher level.
Real success id set up priority and live life according to priority- relationship withGod then with family.
Through discipline, you dont have extra hours a day, but you maximize your day.
I have one life to live, one calender, and one set of priority.

From Mark Sanborn:
Do not just perform better, but become better.
Leader helps the sub-ordinate to become more remarkable.
Preparation is important part of success. You prepare for what you love.
keep polishing your life until The Owner come and take us home.

From Jack Nicklaus:
leadership= before you lead anyone else, you lead yourselves
There is no excuse for not being prepared.

From Bill George:
Leaders seem to be losing the calling to lead, cuz they failed to lead themselves.
Leadership is about responsibility.
Leadership is about service- also empower others to step up and lead.
Be a Self-learner, reflect from other people.
Be clear of the values you live by and your basic faith, practise everyday.
Motivations- intrinsic factors that drives you.
Building support team around you, otherwise leadership is lonely.
Be consistent in life, same person at home, work and community.

WE'RE BORN TO MANIFEST GLORY OF GOD WITHIN US. HE'S IN EVERYONE OF US.

Finally from Liz Murray!
Liz Murray's life is a triumph over adversity and an example of dreaming big. Murray grew up in the Bronx with cocaine-addicted parents. Murray's mother died when she was 16, leaving her homeless- living on the streets, riding the subway all night and eating from dumpsters. Determined to take charge of her life, Murray finished high school in two years while camping outside out in New York City. After attending Columbia University for a short period to be close to her ill father, Murray recently completed her degree at Harvard, Lifetime Television produced a movie about Murray's story entitled "From Homeless to Harvard," which premiered in April 2003. Liz is the recipient of Oprah Winfrey's first-ever Chutzpah Award and is currently writing her memoirs for Hyperion Books.

What's so amazing about Liz Murray? She shared true-heartedly about her experiences and and how she faced homelessness, death of mother, financial challenges, emotional struggles, social condemnation and etc.. she made me opened my eyes so big, my ears so alert and my mind completely focused on her as she talked.. and at the end of the whole sharing, ppl in the DVD stood up in amazement and applause. She made me feel what i'm facing is so insignificantly and small, that i can pull through them with the least energy and life that i still have. Even if i lose everything, i still have my hands and legs. She said so many inspirational words but i couldnt get my eyes of her as she speaks i ended up didnt write down a thing. But i know what she said relates to me so much, in the end i teared A LITTLE.

I am so inspired to live my life, from now onward with bravery, hope and perseverence!!!
